Review! Tied by Emma Chase

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of... my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you've heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

THOUGHTS

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The Wedding!!

I’ve probably said this before but it’s worth repeating, Emma is a bloody genius.

This was one of the best series I’ve read this year.

If you remember, Kate was pregnant in Twisted. Now, we see her and Drew as parents to a precious baby boy, James.

Kinda hard to picture Drew as a dad, right? Well, you’ll be in for a big surprise.

In Tied, the soon to be wedded couple is heading to Las Vegas for their bachelor and bachelorette parties, accompanied by the usual suspects, their closest friends and family.

What could go wrong, you ask. Are you kidding? This is Drew we’re talking about. Everything could go wrong. And it does. Only days away from the wedding.

I loved this book. Absolutely loved it. It’s funny, fast paced, well written and it allows you to disconnect and have a great time alongside the characters.

I don’t know what else to say because I don’t want to ruin you the pleasure of reading this novel. Just, go for it. I promise, you won’t regret it.

And if you’re not familiar with the series, then it’s better if you start from the beginning, from Tangled. This way you’ll understand the characters better and find out what their story is.

I’ll leave you with one of my favorite fragments in the book. And for those who don’t have children, trust me, it’s better to watch your language around them. It’ll save you a lot of embarrassment.
“Which makes perfect sense. He’s a pussy—and females tend to flock together.”
Kate rolls her eyes.

James decides to join the conversation. “Poosy.”

Oh, crap. That’s not good.

But still, I start to laugh. How can I not?

Kate frowns at me. “Great.”

Most kids speak their first word around the eleven-month mark. Because my son is a genius, his first word came at nine months. And it wasn’t Mama or Dada or anything typical like that.

James’s first word was shit. Kate was not pleased.

Between you and me, though, we got off easy. It could have been so much worse.

She turns to James and admonishes gently, “No, James.”
He shakes his head, trying to understand. “No poosy?”
I crack up harder. Now Kate is glaring. She puts her hands on her hips. “Yes—and that’s exactly what Daddy’s going to be getting if he doesn’t stop laughing right now.”
James’s eyes go wide and he tries to warn me. “No poosy, Daddy.”
Now I’m full-out laughing my ass off.

SAMPLING

"I hover over her, just close enough to caress her with my breath. “Fuck, Kate, the things I want to do to you…”

Her round, dark eyes drift over my face — filled with love and need. Docile and demanding at the same time.

“I’m yours, Drew.” She whispers. “You can do anything…everything.”

Does she understand what she’s offering? How badly I want to hear her voice, soaked with pleasure, screaming my name until it echoes off the hills around us?

Anything?

Oh, the possibilities."

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.

Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.
