“My life was complete. Happy, content, everything neat and perfect.
Then it all changed.
I was sold.”
Then it all changed.
I was sold.”
Tess
Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career
in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling
bright with possibility.
For their two year anniversary, Brax
surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious
cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday.
With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess
is on top of the world.
But lusty paradise is shattered.
Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror.
Captive
and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves
from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it
can’t save her from the horror of being sold.
Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever?
REVIEW
There are books that, while you read, you think reviewing them will be piece of cake. Then, when it comes to actually writing the review, you find yourself at a loss for words.
Tears of Tess is one of those books. I loved
it. I never thought I’d enjoy a book like this so much.
By now, everyone knows what the subject is.
Unfortunately, human trafficking it’s a sad reality.
Every day, girls/young women all over the world disappear to never be heard of
again. This is what happens to Tess.
What starts as a romantic getaway in Mexico
with her boyfriend, turns into a nightmare. She’s drugged, kidnapped and sold.
I appreciated the fact that Pepper didn’t tried
to embellish the situation. If that was the case maybe I wouldn’t have liked the
story so much.
Tess is a strong girl and she proves this by
fighting her captors all the time. No matter what, she won’t accept her
situation. Especially when she’s sold to the mysterious Q.
What can I tell you about Q?
In the beginning he appears as an eccentric
rich guy who enjoys having girls as slaves. At least that’s what Tess thinks.
He doesn’t treat her bad, not like those who
took her from Mexico but he’s not kind either. Even so, she can’t help but feel
attracted to him.
She loves her boyfriend and they’ve been happy
together but she’s always wanted something “more” when it came to the love
making. Something she knew he won’t be comfortable with.
Tess enjoys pain.
Q never touches the women he buys but he can’t
stay away from Tess. Something in her speaks to the darkness in him. He knows
he shouldn’t but maybe she’s the one who’ll be able to handle his kind of life
and give him what he wants.
This is NOT a love story. If it’s that what
you’re expecting then stay away from Tears of Tess. I can’t even say that it’s
BDSM erotica because this book takes BDSM to a whole new level.
This is the story of a girl snatched away from
her perfectly safe life and sold as a sex slave. Do NOT expect a romantic,
fairytale happy ending because you won’t get it.
Both Tess and Q are two damaged people who
enjoy giving and receiving pain beyond what’s safe in a bedroom play.
But there’s so much more to this story. I
recommend it to those over 17 years old. Not just for the sex scenes but for
the subject Pepper decided to address. Not something for a 14 years old. There
are things that can really affect you emotionally.
One more thing – before making a judgment, wait and read Quintessentially Q too. You’ll understand better the
how’s and why’s.
Great job, Pepper!
Happy Reading!
