Series: (Gabriel’s Inferno Series #3)
Publisher: Penguin Berkley
From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Gabriel’s Rapture and Gabriel’s Inferno comes the epic conclusion to the captivating romantic trilogy.
Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.
But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront Julianne about the subject of her presentation—research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.
In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.
MY THOUGHTS
I always hate the end of a series, because it’s so final. I love it too, because I finally get to see the happily ever after for my favorite characters, but then I think that this is the final book, that’s all, no more, and I hate it again. So you've already guessed that I have a love-hate relationship with Gabriel’s Redemption. More so because it’s one of, if not THE BEST romantic series I’ve ever read! EPIC!!!
The waiting for this final volume had seemed like forever, I was practically counting the days until I got the ARC, and I also had all kinds of questions about the story itself, because SR, who always takes very good care of his fans, teased us mercilessly!
Now I don’t want to spoil anything for you, not from Gabriel’s Redemption, and not from the previous two books either, because they are all amazing, written in this lovely, almost Shakespearian style that you MUST savor them yourself, so I’ll try to explain a bit about what I felt, especially in the beginning.
I found Gabriel’s Redemption a bit different from the previous two books. It has a bright light start: the Emersons (I love how that sounds!) are together, obviously in love, have their families close and they seem happy, or should be after all that they’ve gone through. I got the feeling that nothing could come between them, that no past deeds or some argument can ever tear them apart.
In the first few chapters I actually felt like I was missing a bit of the angst from Gabriel’s Inferno – that, by the way, is and will remain my favorite book in the series - and I can only guess that Sylvain Reynard is psychic and could read my thoughts, because he brought that back for me. Nothing ever is as simple as it seems.
Past demons do come to haunt the couple, and Gabriel tries to silence them in the only way he could do it before, while his beloved Julianne is too engrossed in academic work to keep him from falling. Or is she? You’ll totally love the conclusion of this series!
I need to tell you once again that this series is a MUST READ! SR is a fantastic writer. His ability to express tension, fear, angst, desperation, love and so many other feelings brings butterflies to your stomach and tears to your eyes.
We can't change our past. All we can change is our future.Happy reading!
BOOKS IN THE SERIES
I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.
I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.
I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.

Lovely thoughts Cristina, I enjoyed reading them and I can't wait to read the last book too.
I feel the same about reading the last book of a series but, like they say, every beggining has an end.
I don't know how I'll enjoy the last book, the first book was amazing and is my favourite too, untill now.
Thank you for introducing me to this series and thanx to the author for the story!
Happy reading all!
Great review which really makes you want to read the books as soon as possible. Thank you for drawing our attention to this amazing series!
I have to wait a few days until I'll read the last book, still waiting for it as a chrismas gift, but I'm happy that the series has come to an end because that means that Julia and Gabriel are finally happy and they deserve it. Gabriel's Inferno is certainly one of my favorite books ever, I love the seris, it creates addiction and I'm definitly an addicted. I don't think that will come the day when I wiil not reread passages drom the series with joy.
Amazing review! I'm not a big fan of Gabriel's Inferno, but you actually made me want to read the second and the third book. I began reading the second book 3-4 months ago and dropped it afterwards, it wasn't a book for me. But you made me want to read it. Thanks!
And I did read it and enjoyed it a lot! Thank you for your review!
