Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout

Obsidian, volumul #1 din seria Lux a autoarei Jennifer Armentrout, ne-a placut mult atat mie, cat si Cristinei. Asta stiati deja, dar ce nu stiati e ca vor fi unele surprize si va rugam sa ne vizitati (mai des) zilele astea pentru ca surprizele sunt pregatite pentru voi!

Deocamdata, deoarece Cristina are deja pregatita recenzia, dar acum e pe drum spre casa - mda, a terminat sesiunea si m-a parasit ( :(( ) - va prezint din nou Obsidian si va dau cateva citate din ea. 

Parerea mea e ca acest volum (si nu am motiv sa cred ca nu si toata seria, mai ales ca mi-a placut foarte, foarte mult si Half Blood din seria Covenant) merita toata atentia voastra, a cititorilor, si a editurilor noastre pentru o editie in limba romana, seria avand toate ingredientele pentru a placea cititorilor chiar daca acestia au depasit varsta categoriei "young adult".

Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up. And then he opened his mouth. Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me. You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

“This guy was flipping my bitch switch like nothing else.”

“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.”

“My palms itched to have a close encounter of the bitch-slap kind with his face.”

““You look like you're twelve. No. Maybe thirteen, but my sister has this doll that kinda reminds me of you. All big-eyed and vacant.” 

“Will you show me what you really look like? You don't sparkle, do you?”

“Why are you such an ass?" The words came out before I could think twice. 

"Everyone has to excel at something, right?"
"Well, you're doing a great job.”

“Am I glowing?"
"Like a Christmas tree."
"Not just the star?"
The bed moved a little, and I felt his hand brush my arm. "No. You're super bright. It's kind of like looking at the sun.”

“Swimming was the last thing I wanted to do. Drowning him? Maybe.”

“You don't look like an alien!' It seemed important to point that out.
He arched a brow. 'And what do aliens look like?'
'Not...not like you,' I sputtered. 'They aren't gorgeous--'
'You think I'm gorgeous?' He smiled.”
